SSC CHESLE 2014 - Eligibility, Syllabus and Exam Pattern

www.ssc.nic.in - SSC CHESLE 2014 is one of the big exam in India. SSC stands for staff selection commission and CHSLE stands for combined higher secondary level (10+2) Examination.

There are some important instructions that must be followed by candidates ;

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHESLE 2014

  • For giving this examination, minimum education qualification must be 12th standard pass from recognized university.
  • The exam will comprise of a written objective type examination then it will be followed by Data Entry Skill Test or Typing Test.
  • Candidates with visual disability of 40% or more would be considered visually handicapped.
  • You must pay rupees one hundred by SBI challan or online payment through SBI payment system in case of online application.
  • Closing date is 19.08.2014 upto 5p.m
  • Any kind of electronic gadgets are banned. No one can take anything inside the hall.
  • Candidates age must be between 18-27 years
Nationality
A candidate must be either
  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated to other country but have the intention of permanently setting in India.

Scheme of written examination for SSC CHESLE

The written examination will consists of one objective type paper and each question will consist of one marks. 50 questions will be of general intelligence, 50 questions of basic knowledge, 50 questions will be of basic arithmetic skill and finally 50 from general awareness.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Answer keys will be placed on commission’s website after written examination.

Syllabus of SSC CHESLE 2014

  • General Intelligence- It would include question  of both verbal and non verbal type.
  • English Language- Spot the error, Fill in the blanks, Antonyms, Spellings, Direct Indirect narration are there in a syllabus.
  • Quantitative Aptitude- It mainly include arithmetic portion. Totally simple logical and conceptual questions will be there. There will be no descriptive type question, it will be totally objective part. So the candidate need to be quick while solving.
  • General Awareness- General awareness questions are set in such a manner that tests the candidates general awareness of the environment around him

Skill Test for Data entry operator

This test shows how much knowledge a candidate have about computers and how the candidate can execute different data entry works on computer. It also tests candidates knowledge on different software’s and how much they are updated on various prospect of work. This test will be held at the Commission’s Regional Offices or any other center that will be decided by the commission.

Typing Test for LDCs

Typing Test will be conducted for those student those who will pass the written examination. The test will be conducted in English or Hindi. It is totally upon the candidate what language he prefers. Candidates with typing speed minimum of about 35 words per minute will be qualified to the next round.
Some general instruction:-
  • Use blue/black pen while answering in OMR sheet.
  • Check your OMR sheet properly and fill your name and roll number properly. An incorrect digit may cancel your paper.
  • Do not use mobile phone.
